Snow Day...


SNOW DAY-'10
It's another snow day! Schools closed and roads disappearing beneath the snow... A good day for an Eskimo here in Kentucky! We get some serious weather here in the South, let me tell you! The first year I moved here from California, (I was so happy to leave earthquakes behind) only to be welcomed with a good old-fashioned tornado that wiped a neighboring county clean to the bone. As if that wasn't enough,  our very first summer here was met with a record heatwave! Oh, and let's not forget the ice-storm to end all that lasted fourteen-days and took out nearly all the power in Louisville for weeks on end. It wasn't all bad, I learned that I could actually survive without my computer and the kids learned how to play Poker. One thing's for certain! When conversation lulls here in the South, we can always talk about the weather. Here's a few highlights in pictures...
